When begining a bathroom job. The day 1 demolition is always a time of discovery and intrigue when you find out just whay has been going on behind the bath panel.

Today was no exception. After removing the bath I found an interesting timber In the corner of the room. Upon forther investigation I discovered it was a lintel for a lean to protruding into the back garden. A very interesting approach to building. I can't help thinking someone got their measurements wrong in Edwardian times.

Not sure they had tape measures back then?

Anyway, part of what I love about this job is coming up with solutions to these unexpected problems i see every day.

Lovely weather this week, great for installing decking and getting the decking oil onto the dry timbers. When it's really dry the oil penetrates deep and prolongs the life of the decking. Just finished this small area with steps down to the garden. Should be great for some plants and a sun lounger.

If you have any decking builds needed or repairs, get in touch.
