Installing an oak engineered wooden floor this week. Happy with the lines through the house and no thin slithers at the edges! This style is tongue and groove glued together with waterproof d4 woodglue. Underneath the floor I used a foil backed underlay on the floorboards.

Made sure all the floorboards were nailed tight to stop the squeaks. The flooring was pre oiled but I will clean and oil it a couple more times. Makes it unwalkable for longer but a must if used in the kitchen.

And here is the finished result. Nice even lines throughout. No thing slithers at the sides. Where the walls were uneven, the gaps were never more than 10mm and easily grouted or fitted with scotia/quadrant.

Just setting out the laser for the floor tiling. Want to get a nice straight line through the house with no thin slithers either side. Results to follow....
