I've been admiring some more traditional plastering techniques on my holidays. Unfortunately I've not had the joy of working with any of these approaches. Probably quite environmentally friendly to use such natural materials but I'd be very concerned about the quality of the finish as the wood biodegraded inside the walls.

The full list of works on this room included: wallpaper stripped, walls plastered, picture rail added, walls and woodwork painted, floorboard gaps filled, floor industrially sanded, floor varnished. Here is the finished product;

It's that time of year when the outdoor decorating begins again. The house in the photo was painted cornish cream with a felxible gloss mixed with the green for the sills, base and lintels. The frames were painted a flexible exterior gloss. I also repaired a few of the beading strips on the windows where they had rotten.
